The firm now aims to provide a compelling business banking service by using the knowledge of the field from experienced teams from Alliance and Leicester and Abbey.
Focusing on customer service and cautious commercial risks, business banking clients with Santander, such as small and medium enterprises, will be helped to take their place in the global economy, according to the company.

Alliance and Leicester recently unveiled its Free Business Current Account product, which offers interest of six per cent AER to small companies with a turnover of more than £1 million.
