Barclaycard has joined forces with
InterContinental
Hotel Group (IHG) in order to launch a new reward based
credit card.
The
credit card will offer consumers the change to earn rewards
that can then be redeemed at IHG
hotels .
People will earn points every time they use the credit card and
will also receive 10,000 bonus points the first time they use the
Priority Club
Rewards card .
Mike Kopec, vice-president, IHG Global Alliances and
Business Analysis, said: We are delighted to team-up with
Barclaycard to launch our new Priority Club Rewards
Visa credit card .
Customers will benefit from the generous rewards available
whenever they use their card and will receive double points when
they use the card in IHG hotels.
Earlier this week David Kuo, head of
personal finance at Fool.co.uk, claimed that
credit cards still want to lend people
money but are tightening their criteria because of worsening
economic conditions.
