Money is the biggest worry for Brits, a new survey has revealed.
Alliance and Leicester has found nearly a fifth (3.4 million) of Brits worry about their finances every day and 30 per cent feel concerned about money a few times a week.
According to the poll, the run up to pay day worries 33 per cent and 40 per cent fret about cash before they go on holiday . Six per cent of people admitted to reacting to money worries by spending more money.
Head of current accounts at Alliance and Leicester Andy Bayes advises that consumers should switch to a better deal on their banking accounts to earn the most amount of interest from their banking accounts .
"What’s more, switching current accounts has never been so simple and easy so there is no better time than now to make the change," he remarks.
Mr Bayes adds that he is surprised at the amount of loyal customers even though the interest on their banking accounts can be very small compared to others offered by different financial institutions.
Yesterday, it was reported by moneysupermarket.com that Brits are unsure of what an individual voluntary arrangement is.
