Consumers who bank with the Nationwide Building Society are being urged to do their bit to help support the dreams of disabled athletes across the UK.
Over the next few days, members of the financial services organisation will receive packs inviting them to cast a vote at its forthcoming annual general meeting.
And every time a person exercises their right to vote, the building society will donate 10p towards Disability Sports Events, a charity that provides financing assistance to athletes bidding to represent their country in the 2012 Paralympics.
Roger Black, former Olympic medallist, has outlined the importance of supporting disabled athletics.
"It is essential that we encourage participation in disability sports," he said.
"The message to Nationwide members is clear - your vote helps disabled athletes so please use it."
In March 2007, the financial services provider hit the headlines when it rolled out new 25-year mortgages with lending rates of 5.49 per cent.
However, Nationwide Building Society temporarily withdrew the mortgage two months later after reporting that the product had sold out due to unexpectedly high demand.
